Plymouth Village Cemetery
(known also as: Old Baptist Cemetery
or North Village Cemetery or
Old York Street Cemetery or
North Plymouth Cemetery)
Pearl and York Streets
Plymouth, MI
See Below for Excerpts of the Plymouth Village Cemetery Society Meeting Records of 1845 & 1891
The Plymouth Village Cemetery (also known by the other names listed above) was established in 1845. It is located on the residential Streets, Pearl and York, just North of Plymouth Road and East of Lilley Road.
The land was apparently purchased by the Plymouth Village Cemetery Society from Bethuel Noyes for $75.00, it is one acre in size. The Society no longer exsists, and the site was turned over the the Common Council of Plymouth. Transcribed in part by Linda Ball and very special thank you to Elaine Child, who was able to obtain the rest. Verified through the Plymouth Historical Archives, with Special Thanks as well, to Garry, Archivist.
It is considered, Closed and Private Property. To view the stones themselves, you must call and make an appointment with the City of Plymouth only on weekdays and during regular business hours. Please don't try to crawl under the gate here, or think you might just hop the fence to take pictures, the police will ask you to leave, without authorization.
