Old Michigan Ave & Haggerty Road
Canton, Michigan 48186
Wayne County
Downer Cemetery is located on "Old" Michigan Ave (which is south of Michigan Avenue) at Haggerty Road. You can not see the cemetery from current day, Michigan Ave. The grantor was Lucretia Downer.
The cemetery is currently inactive, however it is open to the public to view stones. One end of the cemetery is under brush and weeds, although the rest of the site is well maintained. Some stones are worn or broken from age.
This is a complete walk-through of the site, however some stones were unreadable. Data verified with the Archives, THANKS to Garry!
