The Leslie Cornet Band was organized in June, 1880, with sixteen pieces, and Enoch Dowling as leader. A fine uniform and a good outfit have since been purchased, and the band is free from debt. Most of its members are "old players," and the organization is a creditable one. Its music is new and excellent, and th eexecution thereof is worthy of bands of greater note. Mr. Dowling continues as leader.
